Frequently asked questions
How are credits billed?+
Every API call is metered in real time at the published token rate for the model route you use. The cost is deducted from your Relay credit balance and recorded in a usage ledger. Rates already include the Relay platform service fee; applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
How do subscriptions work?+
Basic is a one-time credit purchase. Go, Plus, and Pro are monthly subscriptions. In every case you pay face value and receive the same amount in service credits (1:1, no bonus). Credits roll over while your account remains available.
What happens when credits run out?+
When your balance is insufficient for the estimated cost of a request, the gateway pauses that call. Buy Basic again, upgrade a monthly plan, wait for renewal, or contact engineering for higher volume.
What's the difference between tiers?+
Credits always match payment (1:1). Basic = $1 once. Go = $5/mo, Plus = $10/mo, Pro = $20/mo. Higher tiers add more keys, longer logs, and higher request caps. Above Pro: contact engineering.
What am I buying?+
Relay subscriptions and credit packs provide access to ProxyStacks Relay—a multi-model AI API gateway—and prepaid service credits used to meter platform usage. Credits have no cash value outside Relay. You do not receive upstream provider accounts, upstream API keys, official reseller rights, or sublicensing rights for any foundation model vendor.
Is Relay affiliated with OpenAI or other model vendors?+
No. Relay routes approved inference workloads through backend capacity we procure from paid commercial cloud and AI API channels available to individual developers (examples include Qiniu Cloud services, commercial API routing platforms, and Tencent Cloud TokenHub-related channels). Relay is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized as an official reseller of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Tencent Cloud, or any other model vendor unless separately stated in writing. Model availability, names, latency, and routes may change.
Who processes subscription payments?+
Waffo Pancake acts as merchant of record for paid subscriptions and credit packs. Its checkout handles payment, applicable indirect taxes, and invoices. Your receipt or card statement may reference Waffo.
How do I view usage and costs?+
Sign in to the dashboard to see request volume, token consumption, latency, and cost breakdowns for reconciliation and budgeting.
How is API request data handled?+
Relay forwards request content to the backend model route selected for your call so a response can be generated. We record billing and diagnostic metadata. Provider dependencies and data handling are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Can I cancel my subscription myself?+
Yes. Open Dashboard → Settings and choose Cancel subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. For invoice questions, email [email protected] with your Waffo order ID.
Can I request a refund?+
Eligible first purchases, unused renewals, duplicate charges, and delivery problems are covered by our published Refund Policy. Email [email protected] with your order or invoice number. Consumed credits are generally non-refundable.
